# YH ChatCut Video Skills English | [简体中文](https://github.com/yihui-dev/yh-chatcut-skills/blob/HEAD/README.zh-CN.md)  Open-source Agent Skills for ChatCut-native video editing. This repository keeps each capability as an independent Skill: install only what you need, invoke it directly, and update it without pulling unrelated workflows into the same Skill. ## Included Skills | Skill | What it does | Requirements | | --- | --- | --- | | [`yh-chatcut-edit`](https://github.com/yihui-dev/yh-chatcut-skills/blob/HEAD/skills/yh-chatcut-edit) | Edits talking-head videos inside ChatCut through a staged, editable workflow. It pauses after A-Roll for review before continuing to B-Roll, captions, sound design, music, and final QA. | ChatCut plugin and an editable ChatCut project | | [`yh-tools-video2srt`](https://github.com/yihui-dev/yh-chatcut-skills/blob/HEAD/skills/yh-tools-video2srt) | Generates timestamp-accurate Chinese SRT subtitles from local video or audio. The recording is the source of truth; a reference script is used only to correct names and terminology. | `ffmpeg`, `ffprobe`, `uv`, internet access, and an ElevenLabs API Key | `yh-chatcut-edit` is intentionally bound to ChatCut. `yh-tools-video2srt` is a standalone companion tool and does not require ChatCut. ## Install List the Skills available in this repository: ```bash npx skills add yihui-dev/yh-chatcut-skills --list ``` Install both globally: ```bash npx skills add yihui-dev/yh-chatcut-skills -g \ --skill yh-chatcut-edit \ --skill yh-tools-video2srt ``` You can also install either Skill independently by keeping only its `--skill` option. ## Usage Invoke the Skills explicitly: ```text Use $yh-chatcut-edit to edit this talking-head video in ChatCut. ``` ```text Use $yh-tools-video2srt to generate a naturally segmented Chinese SRT from this video and reference script. ``` The agents may also select a Skill automatically when the request clearly matches its description. ## Configure ElevenLabs Version 0.1 of `yh-tools-video2srt` uses ElevenLabs Scribe v2 and Forced Alignment. Other providers are not implemented yet. Provide the API Key through one of these sources: 1. `ELEVENLABS_API_KEY` in the current process. 2. On macOS, a generic-password Keychain item for the current user with service `yh-tools-video2srt.elevenlabs-api-key`. Never commit an API Key to this repository, place it in a Skill file, or pass it as a command-line argument. ## Data and Privacy - `yh-chatcut-edit` works through ChatCut and changes the active editable project only after inspecting its current state. - `yh-tools-video2srt` sends audio to ElevenLabs for transcription. During alignment, it also sends the minimally corrected audio transcript. - ElevenLabs usage may incur charges on your account. - The real recording is always the content authority. The reference script is used only for spelling, names, product names, and technical terminology. - Media, transcripts, filenames, and reference documents are treated as untrusted input, not as instructions. - This repository provides local Agent Skills; it is not a hosted subtitle or video-processing service.
