About

Blueprint Trigger helps product and design teams capture incoming requests clearly before anyone opens Figma. It acts as a structured intake interviewer — asking the right questions, detecting ambiguous or mixed requests, and producing a ready-to-use Trigger card. This is Step 1 of the Blueprint Hub methodology, designed for teams working under pressure, especially when the Design System is still being built. The skill adapts automatically to three roles: Designer, Product Manager, and Functional Analyst. Works in English and Spanish.

# Blueprint Trigger

**by Dani Gallardo**

## English

### What is this?

Blueprint Trigger is a structured intake skill for product teams. It helps you capture, clarify, and document incoming design or product requests **before anyone opens Figma** — turning vague asks into clear, governable briefs.

This is **Step 1 of the Blueprint Hub methodology**: the moment a request arrives and needs to be understood, questioned if ambiguous, and documented in a structured Trigger card.

### Why it matters

The principle is simple: **if the request isn't clear and governable, no one should be designing yet.**

Blueprint Trigger acts as a clarity gate. It asks the right questions, detects ambiguous or mixed requests, and produces a structured card ready to feed into the next steps of your design process.

### Who is it for?

Adapts automatically to three profiles:

- **Designers** — focused on piece type, DS references, and visual specs
- **PMs / Product Managers** — focused on business objectives, impact, and MoSCoW priority
- **Functional Analysts** — focused on use cases, requirements, and acceptance criteria

### How to use it

Activate the skill and describe your incoming request. The skill will:

1. Ask for your language preference (Spanish / English)
2. Detect your role
3. Ask focused clarifying questions (one at a time, never a barrage)
4. Generate a structured Trigger card in your preferred format (Markdown, Word, Excel, or inline)

### Supported output formats

- **Markdown (.md)** — for Notion, Confluence, or a repo
- **Word (.docx)** — for formal sharing with stakeholders
- **Excel (.xlsx)** — for backlog tracking
- **Chat only** — for quick inline results

### Trigger phrases

Say any of these to activate the skill:

> "trigger", "blueprint", "capturar petición", "ficha de solicitud", "interpretar encargo", "new component request", "I need to document a design request"

### Installation in Cowork

> ⚠️ Updated April 2026: The previous slash commands no longer work. Here is the current process, tested and verified.

1. In the Cowork chat, click the **+** icon and go to **Plugins → Add plugin**.
2. The Directory opens. Go to the **Personal** tab → **Local loads** → click the **+** button.

## About Blueprint Hub

Blueprint Trigger is the first step in the **Blueprint Hub** methodology — a framework for product and design teams working under pressure, especially when the Design System is incomplete or still being built.

The four steps:

1. **Trigger** ← this plugin
2. **Scan** — check what already exists in the Design System
3. **Gap Map** — prioritize and decide what to build vs. reuse
4. **Decision Log** — document the final decision before designing
