🧘 Philosophy ### The 3 Iron Laws > **TDD Iron Law** — No production code without a **failing test** first. If code exists without a test, delete it. Start over. > > **Verification Iron Law** — No completion claims without **fresh verification evidence**. Run tests, read output, then claim. > > **Debugging Iron Law** — No fixes without **root cause investigation** first. Symptoms are not causes. ### The Ponytail Ladder (7 Rungs) Before writing any code, climb this ladder from the top: ``` 1️⃣ Does this need to be built at all? ← YAGNI 2️⃣ Does it already exist in this codebase? ← Reuse 3️⃣ Does the standard library already do this? ← Built-in 4️⃣ Does a native platform feature cover it? ← Platform 5️⃣ Does an already-installed dependency solve it? ← Existing 6️⃣ Can this be one line? ← Minimal 7️⃣ Only then: write minimum code that works ← Ship ``` ### Code Rules - ❌ No abstractions not explicitly requested - ❌ No new dependency if avoidable - ✅ Deletion over addition.
