About
# Svalboard knowledge base
Build and configuration knowledge for the Svalboard in this repo, as an [OKF v0.2](https://github.com/GoogleCloudPlatform/knowledge-catalog/blob/main/okf/SPEC.md) bundle. Everything here is sourced so far from the distillation of the Svalboard Discord #general channel, 2023-06-30..2026-08-15 with one uncovered gap (2025-08-10..2025-10-17) — see [discord/README.md](../discord/README.md) for provenance and for how to fill the gap or add other channels. A second bundle, [thecore/index.md](thecore/index.md), distils TheCore StarCraft II hotkey Discord; [svalboard-and-thecore](/svalboard-and-thecore.md) reads the two together. Record changes in [log.md](/log.md); the log is oldest-first.
## Overview
- [discord-general-overview](/discord-general-overview.md) — What the Svalboard Discord #general channel is across three years, how the product and the recurring voices changed, and what the distillation does not cover.

README
# svalboard-build Build tracker for my Svalboard self-print kit. One **issue per assembly step**, in order — the lowest-numbered open issue is the next thing to do. Close an issue when the step is done. Printing is nearly done; issue #1 lists what is still unprinted. The authoritative instructions are the Self-Print Build Guide PDF (in the private supporters repo, local copy at `~/projects/svalboard-self-print/docs/` on the MacBook); issues cite its page numbers. A weekly Claude routine reads the open issues here every Sunday morning and books a build-hour calendar block with the next step. Community knowledge that isn't step-by-step assembly — printing, trackballs, fit, firmware, parts sources — lives in the repo wiki at [wiki/index.md](wiki/index.md), distilled from the Svalboard Discord.
