# Skiller

Skiller is a desktop app and CLI for managing local agent skills.

It keeps a master skill library, syncs enabled skills into configured agent target directories, validates skill structure, and provides discovery through the skills.sh API.

## Features

- Install skills from local folders, GitHub, and skills.sh.
- Scan a GitHub repository for valid skill directories, select and install skills you want.
- GitHub and skills.sh installs can be checked for newer upstream versions, updated individually, or updated all at once from the Updates page.
- Packaged desktop app updates download in the background and show an Update button when ready.
- Organize library skills with sets, tags, sorting, filtering, and clickable source links.
- Replace existing skills after confirming duplicate skill names during install.
- Sync enabled skills from one master library into various agent skill directories you configure.
- Validate installed skill structure and surface invalid skills in the library.

## Install

Download Skiller Desktop from the [latest GitHub Release](https://github.com/gannonh/skiller/releases/latest):

- macOS Apple Silicon: `Skiller-macOS-Apple-Silicon.dmg`
- macOS Intel: `Skiller-macOS-Intel.dmg`
- Linux x64: `Skiller-Linux-x64.AppImage` or `Skiller-Linux-x64.deb`
- Linux arm64: `Skiller-Linux-arm64.AppImage` or `Skiller-Linux-arm64.deb`

Each release page includes a platform download table with direct links.

## Usage

Use the Library view to install skills from a local folder, GitHub URL or shorthand such as `gannonh/skiller`, or the skills.sh registry. When you enter a repository URL or shorthand, Skiller scans it for installable skills and lets you select the ones you want. If an install matches an existing skill name, Skiller asks before replacing it. Organize skills with sets and tags, then sort or filter the library around those labels. Click GitHub-backed source URLs to open the skill's `SKILL.md` file in your default browser. Use Targets to choose agent skill directories, then sync enabled skills into those targets. Use Updates to check GitHub and skills.sh installs for newer upstream commits, then update skills individually or with Update All. When a packaged app update finishes downloading, use the Update button beside the Skiller heading to restart into the new version.

## Workspace

This repo is a pnpm monorepo:

- `packages/cli`: command-line interface backed by `packages/core`
- `apps/desktop`: Electron app with a Vite React renderer
- `packages/ui`: shared shadcn/ui workspace components
