# Surety Bond Encyclopedia - MCP Server
A free, read-only [Model Context Protocol](https://modelcontextprotocol.io) server giving AI assistants direct access to the Surety Bond Encyclopedia: more than 6,900 U.S. surety bond requirements across all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

## Endpoint

Transport: Streamable HTTP. Authentication: none required.
## Connecting
**Claude:** Settings, then Connectors, then Add custom connector, then paste the endpoint URL above.
**Other MCP clients:** add the endpoint as a remote MCP server. No API key or account is needed.
## Tools

| `search_bonds` | Search bond requirements by keyword, with an optional state filter. Returns bond name, state, jurisdiction, and information page URL. |
| `get_bond` | The full encyclopedia entry for one bond: value proposition, brief summary, detailed information, application steps, eligibility requirements, FAQs, links to the government agency that requires the bond, and the instant-price application URL. |
| `list_states` | Every state in the catalog with its bond count. |
| `list_jurisdictions` | Every jurisdiction (statewide, county, city, or obligee) within one state. |

Ask your assistant:

The assistant calls `search_bonds`, then `get_bond`, and returns the requirements along with a link to apply.
