# Find MCP servers in VS Code with Agentalog

One entry in .vscode/mcp.json connects VS Code to the catalog. Then ask in Chat, in Agent mode.

## Step 1. Add the server

Add the server to .vscode/mcp.json.

## Step 2. Check the connection

In the Command Palette, run MCP: List Servers: the server is on the list. Use it in Chat, in Agent mode.

## Step 3. Ask the agent

Ask: find live MCP servers for Postgres in Agentalog, with their repository and tools.
