Users work through a web console, the `kube-dc` CLI,\nor Kubernetes APIs. Platform operators retain control of identity, quota,\nnetworking, policy, and shared infrastructure.\n\nThe product model has three primary levels:\n\n- An **Organization** owns identity, membership, billing, and shared quota.\n- A **Project** is the governed workload boundary for a team or environment.\n Kube-DC backs it with a Kubernetes namespace, RBAC, a private VPC, optional\n quota, and a Project kubeconfig.\n- A **Managed Cluster** has its own Kubernetes API and control plane.\n Create one inside a Project when a workload needs CRDs, operators, multiple\n namespaces, or other cluster-scoped control.\n\n### Project or Managed Cluster?\n\n| Choose | When you need |\n|---|---|\n| **Project** | Fast deployment of containers, compatible Helm charts, VMs, managed databases, storage, and platform services |\n| **Managed Cluster** | A separate Kubernetes API, cluster-admin control, CRDs, operators, multiple namespaces, or cluster-scoped policy |\n\nSee [Projects](docs/cloud/kubernetes-projects.md) for the exact\nProject capability boundary.\n\n## Capabilities\n\n- **Identity and governance:** Organizations, Projects, SSO integration,\n Organization Groups, four standard Project roles, and hierarchical quota.\n- **Application and VM compute:** containers, compatible Helm workloads,\n KubeVirt virtual machines, and Managed Clusters.\n- **Networking:** a private VPC per Project, HTTP/HTTPS Gateway routes, direct\n LoadBalancer services, external and floating IPs, and operator-assigned\n datacenter VLANs.\n- **Data services:** managed PostgreSQL and MariaDB, block storage, S3-compatible\n object storage, snapshots, and restore workflows.\n- **Security services:** managed secrets, certificates, database credential\n rotation, KMS keys, Project RBAC, and platform policy enforcement.\n- **Operations:** resource usage, billing-plan quotas, audit events,\n observability, upgrades, and day-two cluster operations.\n\nCapabilities depend on the installed platform profile and the permissions\nassigned to the current user. The documentation calls out operator-only,\npreview, and unsupported paths explicitly.\n\n## Documentation\n\nStart with the guide for your role:\n\n- [What is Kube-DC?](docs/cloud/what-is-kube-dc.md)\n- [Create your first Project](docs/cloud/first-project.md)\n- [Deploy your first application](docs/cloud/deploy-first-app.md)\n- [Provision a Managed Cluster](docs/cloud/provisioning-cluster.md)\n- [Cloud documentation](docs/cloud/index.md)\n- [Platform architecture](docs/platform/architecture-overview.md)\n- [Platform installation](docs/platform/installation-overview.md)\n- [AI IDE and Agent Skills integration](docs/cloud/ai-ide-integration.md)\n\nThe published site is available at [docs.kube-dc.com](https://docs.kube-dc.com).\n\n## Community\n\nKube-DC is open source.
