"markdown": "# Weathersight MCP Connector\n\nConnect Claude — or any MCP client — to [Weathersight](https://weathersight.io): 100+ years\nof station observations, typical-weather climatology, anomalies, extremes, degree days, and\nlong-term climate trends for locations worldwide.\n\nThis is a **remote MCP server**. There is nothing to install.\n\n```\nhttps://weathersight.io/api/mcp\n```\n\n## Connect\n\n**Claude (Desktop or web)**\n\n1. Settings → Connectors → **Add custom connector**\n2. URL: `https://weathersight.io/api/mcp`\n3. **Connect**, then sign in when prompted\n\nSigning in creates your Weathersight API token automatically if you don't already have one,\nand starts a free trial. Existing token holders keep the token they already have.\n\n**Other MCP clients**\n\nPoint the client at the same URL. The server speaks Streamable HTTP (spec 2025-03-26) and\nauthenticates with OAuth 2.0 authorization-code + PKCE, including dynamic client\nregistration — no manual credential setup.\n\n## What you can ask\n\n- *\"What's the typical weather in Reykjavik in late September?\"*\n- *\"Has Bengaluru's monsoon onset shifted over the last 40 years?\"*\n- *\"Which US cities broke heat records last week?\"*\n- *\"Compare this July in Madrid to its 1991–2020 baseline.\"*\n\n## Managing your connection\n\n- **Your token and plan:** https://weathersight.io/subscription\n- **API reference:** https://weathersight.io/docs\n\nIf the connector stops returning data, your client will usually prompt you to sign in again.\nIf it reports that your plan has lapsed, visit the subscription page above — the connector\nand token resume working once a plan is active.\n\n## About this repository\n\nThis repo is the public home of Weathersight's [MCP Registry](https://registry.modelcontextprotocol.io)\nentry. [`server.json`](server.json) is the metadata record that tells the registry — and the\ndirectories that mirror it — what this server is called, where it lives, and how to reach it.\n\nThe connector itself is served from the Weathersight application.\n\n## License\n\nMIT — see [LICENSE](LICENSE).\n",
