Then metered: the tool returns\nan HTTP-402 payment challenge — pay it, re-call with the same args plus\n`payment_tx=<signature>`. An `Authorization: Bearer fnet_…` key bypasses the paywall.\n\n## The edge: scored, not just listed\n\nRaw stars and download counts are noise. Every repo carries a composite\n**health_score** (popularity + activity + maintenance + governance) and every\npackage a **risk_score** (staleness + deprecation + adoption + license). An agent\ntriaging a dependency or picking between libraries sees what actually matters — is\nthis alive, maintained, and safe to depend on?\n\n## Sources\n\nDaily aggregation refreshes trending repos plus a watchlist of popular repos'\nhealth and packages' risk. Live on demand: **GitHub API** (repos, contributors,\ncommits, search — keyless low-rate, optional `GITHUB_TOKEN` for higher limits),\n**PyPI** + **npm registry** (package metadata + downloads), and **libraries.io**\n(cross-ecosystem dependents/SourceRank/deprecation — optional `LIBRARIESIO_API_KEY`,\ndegrades gracefully if unset).
